I am unsure if there is a sales and marketing plan that the team can individually plan and attack. To me it would appear they are too busy servicing existing customers.
The little bit of previous experience i have, was to attack the customer base and secure as many customers as you can throughout various sectors ensuring they were serviced professionally and continually.
A lot of effort was spent reducing the number of customers with lower than expected margins. What a joke! It's the volume that reduces the cost and in turn increases profitability through economies.
Assumption and i do mean assumption only....What if we are not selected as preferred supplier to the Military etc. etc.
I think what many believe is, that we are the one and only vying for these contracts.
I have worked with many international companies in the past who once business is established don't have a clue how to secure future business.
Oh well, that's my lot.
