I wonder what Saker (Putin) believes what would happen the hour after that ......
The concept in the thread heading is only there for boneheads and morons to consider because reality doesn't happen that way. The propaganda factories are sort of rudderless at the moment for several reasons but at the end of they day they just don't know. They haven't been advised and nor would I expect them to be advised. They are as in the dark as anyone else.
Believe me when I say that all sides will have done comprehensive risk analyses from multiple angles and taking in multiple layers of what ifs. Preferred strategies are always based on the least damage and cost to one's own side ....... and on that basis I see Putin reaching out to Trump. Why? Because Russia's specific objectives in Syria have been achieved.
