With all due respect rexsh, you obviously didn't invest in Metgasco. The mistake many investors made was assuming the public and the government would come to logical conclusions. Science, history and reason made absolutely no difference in the end. I remember many posters arguing back then that there was too much at stake. Surely this and surely that. It's a long a sordid tale.
Hopefully you know from my previous posts that I'm not running a scare campaign here. I've just learnt a lot from that experience and, as previously stated, I'm wary. It was a Lib state government after all that helped grind MEL into the ground. They even the gall to send the boss of ERM to ICAC as ERM was a top holder of MEL at the time. The most ridiculous part being that it was a successful anti-fracking campaign run against a company that wasn't going to do any fracking.
Current blanket bans in Vic, but we all know Andrews is a dork.
And I do agree, the big positive for now is that the election is out of the way and SA is now aligned with federal policy. It will be a while until anything may change. Which is why I have said that I look forward to our business being done relatively soon.
The media plays a part in it of course. Although the article clarifies the ban, headlines like this don't help any:
Gas firms angry over 10-year fracking ban in part of SA
