Tend to agree. This is because the tailings are when this was a tin mine. The issue is how was the tin extracted and what impurities are now in the tailings spod wise, because too many impurities and the spodumene in teh talings becomes essentially contiminated. If there are a lot of impurities in the spodumene tailings to be blunt it wouldn't be worth the effort so the tailings would be best used as you say for building roads and/or for future reference building the formations/ballyst works of any rail link into the existing railway or rail improvements (which @Dr_Manhattan from recollection says is about 160km away.
The problem in the interim though is the tailings represent a lot of overburden to move, so suspect that area of the tenement will not be mined for some time, but that is ok because expect a mine to be established around hole 1 and 2 and hole 7 (using teh 2017 results here) and in any event there is a hell of a lot of spod in the tenements in any event. The key for any future reference for AVZ (or whoever mines this) is they need to ensure when they mine the spodumene that they don't contaminate the tin/tantulum in the tailings. Unless of course they find a process to remove the tin and tantulum in the same process they are taking out the spodumene. Alternatively the could go the Greenbushes route and just have different pits, a few for spod and one or two for tin/tantulum (with niobium credits) IMO. I guess the size of the deposit opens up your development options. All IMO
