Good to hear there may be a significant discovery near Citadel and Obelisk. Some geological detective work - speculation....
Thanks Onceover for Sipa's Magnetic image I couldn't find any better coverage readily available.

Using this I have roughly put on Rio's, AZY's and the JV tenement outlines. There are other tenement holders - to the north where cover is probably increasing.![]()
The shape of AZY's 100% tenement west of Obelisk comes from the recent presentation that shows a variation over the January consolidation announcement.![]()

This thumbnail shows the January 2018 Tenement status and a 140Km scale bar to give some reference to Barry Fitzgerald's comment about the "discovery" being some 150 Kms NW of Telfer.
Note the majority of the ground pegged by Rio is under application. No drilling or ground disturbing work can be done on these applications until there is native title clearance and they are formally granted.
This suggests that if there is a drilled discovery it would probably be on the green coloured tenements (obelisk mag map) indicated as granted Rio tenements as of January 2018.
As part of my research I found a Geoscience Australia document (70302) that gives a lot of information about the Patterson "province". I was looking for magnetic images but found a wealth of information that is largely of technical interest so only a couple of snippets.
From AZY's February update there is this mag image which shows the western boundary of the Granted tenements (AZY, JV, Rio) lie along a significant fault (the East Waukarlycarly Fault - what a name!). To the west of that depth to basement increases significantly and may make exploration too expensive/impractical.

Geology interp from Geoscience Australia.
[Note much of the Citadel area and surrounds are covered by later sediments (Permian Glacials - and more recent)]

There is even some 1996 seismic sections of this embayment/basin as well as this unusually oriented AEM interpretation.![]()
[ Sorry - something that piqued my geol interest:

The Neoproterozoic age of mineralisation at Telfer/Nifty/O'Callaghans is in the 600-800 Million years. Similar to events in the DRC and the pan african belt in Morocco. ]
Hopefully there is more than rumours about this discovery which mean something to the Juniors in the area. A large stand alone Rio project could help Calibre/Magnum/Obelisk??'s economics if any or all of them are sub-economic on their own.
Good to hear there may be a significant discovery near Citadel...
