I was going over some old articles on MIS and there's a bit of deja vu feeling to this cap raising. In 2005 MIS was critisized for doing a cap raising at 37 cents heavily discounted to its trading price of 63 cents, and nearly doubling its issued capital. Some shareholders even considered taking it to the takeover tribunal.
Much of the criticism also involved the fact Pattersons clients were Malaysian/Honkers interest friendly to the board of MIS, which is controlled by Malaysian Chinese.
Cant exactly say the share price has underperfomed since then though.
Any thoughts?
