A family member has been trying a block of land on the Bellarine ( Vic) and contacted the RE Agent and agreed on a price for the purchase of the land.
The RE Agent had placed the land on their website and had their board out front.
The RE Agent did not have the section 32 ready and would not take a deposit.
Four days later they advise my family member that they are part owners of the land.
That was all at the start of February 2018.
Today (3/4/2018) the RE Agent advises that they need to pay the Water Authority extra money for the sewerage connection on this sub divided block of land.
So they quoted the family member an extra $50,000 for this work and want an extra $30,000 for the block of land that they had previously agreed a price for.
Obviously REIV should be informed of this behaviour however it does show just how shonky some RE Agents are.
