Got a shock yesterday when I saw unleaded at 1.57$ a litre in Brisbane, the last time it was around this price was during the GFC when oil hit 150$ a barrel , here in Brisbane we used to have a weekly cycle and cheap Tuesday was the day to fill but lately its been a case of high prices for several weeks before slowly falling to 1.20 ish a litre then back to 1.45$, but this time the oil companies have decided to up the price to 1.57$, my stepson has just returned from the USA where petrol was 2.40$ a gallon, surely there is something this country can do to bring these greedy oil companies into line..
