ILU announced the six month pricing of the Zircon Reference Price of $US1230 per tonne on 12 Oct 17, to end 31 March 18, in about three weeks. The full year slide pack 27 Feb (p6) announced a Reference Price increase to US$1,410/t from Q2 2018 for the next six months. That is +$U180 per tonne or +14.5%.

The market knows Zr supply is tight and ILU has chosen a slightly different price to RMB's $US1480 per tonne for commercial reasons.

Last year prices rose 40%. This increase is on top of that.

Yippee! The recent SP run to a 5 year high looks set to continue a while.
