Yes I agree, and I have looked into this exact thing quite deeply.
My conclusions are that a Unit, regardless of its size is best if it has a Lockable garage with direct access into the Unit without any stairs.
Also without any stairs inside the Unit. Thats for either a one bedroom or 4 bedroom Unit.
They need a garage, a large covered back porch, and no stairs. Regardless how big they are, Townhouse, or Unit or Penthouse.
The only way to achieve this, is to have driveway ramps to upper levels, even just to the 2nd level.
So it means theres garages above living areas in Units below, so would be using suspended slab construction methods.
This is easier to achieve on un-level ground, as the higher areas of the land give a shallower access ramp to the 2nd level.
Croudfunding is an option, but if a Million or so needs to be rasied, it would be best if it had a prospectus with clear explanations and clear levels of investment with clearly explained objectives and explanation of return on investment projected.
