The Breakthrough Therapy Status is referring to the anti-LPS antibodies and adjuvants.
That was a major milestone for us.
Interesting to note, Immuron were granted the US patent for Anti-LPS Enriched Immunoglobulin 14th November 2017
"Notice of Allowance has been received from the United States Patent and Trademarks Office (USPTO) for Immuron’s new patent application (U.S Application No. 13/817,414), entitled “Anti‐LPS Enriched Immunoglobulin for Use in treatment and/or Prophylaxis of a Pathological Disorder.”
The patent comprises of a total of ten allowed claims, and is principally directed to a method of treating non‐ alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) with a colostrum‐based composition, as developed by Immuron. "
Considering this was lodged 5 Days after the Phase 2 trials had been completed, it's pretty clear they knew they were onto something special and importantly to protect their assets.
As for trying to evaluate Immurons worth, it can only truly be evaluated when all its cards are on the table. That more than likely won't be fully realised for a number of years to come. A full takeover offer would have to start around the $500mln range. Even then it could be considered short changing itself.
I for one would not want Immuron to sell out. Partner by all means in the way of a JV. However, not a full takeover.
Just think of how important this US patent is and the ramifications for the possibility of other medical breakthroughs in the future.
