Also, I doubt the position is to distribute drugs to Ph 3 trial participants because there are multiple references made to payments and accounts.
I agree it’s weird, which is why I was interested in others’ opinions. In my opinion, the most likely explanation is that already provided by 88888acct – expanded access. I think that, typically, drugs are provided by the manufacturer at cost - hence, why payments might be involved. Definitely, expanded access patients deal with the pharma company, not via the FDA. By the way,
the FDA updated its guidance on expanded access late last year to make the application process easier and pharma more likely to be willing to participate.
Why Missouri? The most likely explanation is that the manufacturing facility for trofinetide is based there ( and yes, there are drug manufacturing facilities based in Missouri).
If my thinking is correct, it looks good for the current status of manufacturing and toxicity trials.
But, please note that these are only my speculations and I could be completely wrong
