Sorry Pustayo but while I too am disheartened by recent (non-) events, and many thanks for Laser 1's initiative, I have to disagree. Can't speak for other sectors but most mining/oil & gas companies use contract staff consistently (I should know!) and the teams are changed out depending on the development stage. Companies keep minimum as much as possible full time 'project' type staff nowadays and in fact use contractors to manage their bottom line - no holiday/sick pay etc
