Most EV motors use permanent magnets made from materials such as neodymium-iron-boron and samarium-cobalt.
Magnets made of rare-earth metals (Neodymium, Nd) are particularly powerful alloys are one-third to two times more powerful than traditional ferrite magnets — generating fields up to 1.4 Teslas in some cases.
