I haven't run the numbers Dopey but the process of getting any product onto EU or Chinese shelves is extremely complex and time consuming. The pain doesn't stop with the award of a coveted import license either.
Australian Ag industries have also long suffered extreme EU subsidization and dumping policies.
Japan is also a hard market to crack into.
