Don't worry. I did the same. Refused to pay for a service they didn't provide. Ignored their overdue bill and heard nothing more when I wrote and said 'ombudsman'. Years before Telstra came and said they were unable to pull the replacement phone line through that ran under my driveway, I got up the ladder and fed it through and told them to pull it from the pillar!!! and it went thru. I had to do the job!
