The Connect event brings us a little closer to understanding the velocity and shape of the Ohm path to market...
1) there was considerable 'groundwork' that needed to be done to make Ohm 'market ready' - product testing; additional features; extending workability with other 'sensor' manufacturers; improving installation processes; wooing distribution partners; wooing telco partners; wooing installation partners; wooing clients; adding languages; building out the team; aligning with Paris accord; adding specialised industry settings; improving narrative; winning over IoT sceptics; distilling marketing and communications...
this foundational work is complete - Ohm is now ready for accelerated delivery - bring on the sales teams both inside and outside Bud - sales from telcos, distributors, resellers, installers, govt agencies, intra-client groups etc etc
2) the sales cycle is enterprise level - meaning it takes a fair few meetings and weeks to get the sales order through the client bureaucracy - but much of that time has begun for a fair number of clients - and every month brings yet more to the fold - a trickle becoming a stream...Digicel are confident they will do 300 buildings in this calendar year - 1,000 over the next 3 years - so by the July quarterly, from this alone, I would expect at least $1 million revenue
3) pushing 1 year out - when all the other markets are on line - I would expect revenue to be many multiples of $1 mill - the stream becoming a torrent
4) Get set - this canoe is on the water - we are heading off
