Observations - Hiring and Crypto

In the absence of any market updates, some interesting observations to be gleaned from LinkedIn data:

David Truong joined in December 2017 on a 'stealth mode'  influencer marketing project. Given that his title is 'GM of Cryptocurrency Division' there's probably a safe assumption that this will be linking the Crowd.Agency work with some form of blockchain initiative. Off the top my head, can't think of how a distributed ledger will help that work so zero clue how this will/could be beneficial (I'm skeptical).



More generally, interesting to note that LinkedIn recorded head count is up to 134, from 114 in April 2017 (133 in April 2016 though). Most of this has come into Marketing supposedly so I'd assume that is numbers going into Crowd Agency. In any case, it will be interesting to see the wage expense come full year. Hopefully the new employees are productive.
