This season I've noticed tacklers are allowed to stay on the other player for a lot longer without getting penalised. Remember the last few seasons when they cracked down on this presumably to speed up the game.
Now they are hammering the 10m rule.
They've messed around with the interchange rules in the past to try and tire out the forwards.
I don't really have an issue with any of them but why can't they just consistently ref the game the same way? The comp is as close as it's ever been IMO and I just don't know why they come up with these ideas all the time to change the way the game is reffed. It's not rocket science, just pick something and stick to it.
If they're that hell bent on having a faster game, then take one player out of each side - but then it wouldn't be rugby league would it.
Just my opinion.
