Wayne Bennett sacked by Brisbane Broncos, paving way for Anthony Seibold switch
THE Wayne Bennett saga is finally over, with the legendary coach reportedly sacked by Brisbane after 25 seasons at the helm.
Bennett will leave Brisbane immediately, paving the way for his switch with Anthony Seibold to take place ahead of the new season.
South Sydney coach Seibold will take over at the Broncos for 2019 season while Bennett heads to the Rabbitohs.
It brings to an end a messy, drawn-out sagam, with the move coming after Seibold had earlier on Sunday unloaded on Bennett for playing “games" and refusing to expedite their coaching swap earlier.
