Think the Broncs board have not come out of this well.
They knew who they were dealing with and how he would play it (surely). They dithered and deflected and ended up doing exactly as Bennett wanted albeit after a lot of turmoil.
Once they made the decision not to give him an extension think they should have started with some pretty aggressive negotiations with Bennett right from the start and even if still ended up same result we wouldn't have had the mealy mouth statements from Morris et al.
Personally think they have erred picking Siebold over say Walters (or even Demetriou)
Seems a modern board likes the modern approach to recruiting - ie presentation at interview counts for double points
He may well succeed but will be an interesting next couple of years - as ever, recruitment is the key
