Hi All
Whist back reading a lot of the old stuff relating to HCBG and its partnership with EMS/SUDA the 2007 Chairman's Report made interesting reading, especially the following snippets:-
" Late in 2006 the Company secured the opportunity to launch the operations of a new Pharmaceutical Division.
The initiative gathered pace when in early 2007 the Company realised its investment in International Medical Devices (IMD), an AIM listed company in the UK. A return of A$2.5M to the Company enabled Eastlands to take advantage of further investment opportunities:
1) The exclusive manufacture and distribution of a new Anti-Malaria treatment ArTiMist to Asia, India, and Pacific Region.
2) The exclusive Manufacturing Licence for the Anti-Malaria treatment for Africa.
Further negotiations during May 2007 with UK scientist Mr Calvin Ross, again spearheaded by Director Doug Sims, secured the exclusive distribution rights to the new Anti-Smoking therapy NiCoSorb.
Both these unique pharmaceutical treatments along with ClipOn, our current safe needle, have the potential to earn significant revenue streams for Eastland and its Associated Companies.
In the course of these transactions Eastlands has accumulated a 40% holding in the German pharmaceutical company HCBerlin Pharma AG.
By utilising the German high tech manufacturing facilities as part of the Group's preparation for market entry of ArTiMist further benefits are anticipated."
Hang on a minute .......SUDA are in dispute with a Company which is 40% owned by SUDA ?????? and presumably are entitled to 40% of any resolution..... any I missing something? Its a conundrum whichever way you look at it and complicated enough to keep some lawyers engaged for ever!!!!!!!
