They can and they will. A1 will become the new gluten. "gluten free" labelling is heavily regulated around the world. The US FDA have very strict guidelines on parts per million of gluten, to make claims on gluten free status.

Its very difficult to manufacture A1 free products without using some of the A2M patents and other commercial in confidence processes A2M has developed.

Now that the industry has come across to accept the A2 proposition you may find A2M will push harder on the more contraversial claims which would scare the hell out customers drinking any A1 contaminated products: autism, SIDS, heart disease, diabetes and many others. There are lots of correlative studies backing these links, but none are causative. However, now that the A2 proposition is backed by 2 major multinationals, it gives these other studies significantly more weighting, imo.

I think we are witnessing are global seismic shift in dairy before our very eyes.

What does our A2M patents protects us from? I know about the history with Lion. So will this be a repeat just with a different compsny Nestle?
