Interesting point re the A2 herd conversion. One article I did find on A2 in ireland:

Durose genetically tested his herd in early 2012 to see if the protein produced was A1 or A2. As a result of the test Ernie found that more than 80% of his herd were A2 positive.
This meant that it was reasonably easy to make the transition to a pure A2 Guernsey herd.
He first began to produce pure A2 Milk in October 2012, and says he finds the A2 Milk venture in the UK very exciting.
The Nestle A2 Milk is manufactured in Ireland, and the majority of A2 milk supplied in the UK comes from farms in Shropshire, Cheshire and North Wales.
