You and I know from the surrounds just in John alone, the Thomas circus can't be as they claim, as simple as, or you have to ignore the true church, Jesus and his teachings and instructions and if so, what do you follow?
Now the Bible in places seems to suggest the title of God for Jesus, but certainly not His Almighty God the Father.
Now I have no issue whatsoever with that title.
However, I don't believe that title is applicable at John 1:1, I spent numerous hours on that, down all paths.
And despite what you say, it cannot be supported in the Greek.
John 1:18 mentions only begotten God - however at this point he is with the Father, in the bosom exalted and I believe this and only then is when that title is applicable.
Gone from will be a son, to a son, begotten Son to begotten god = progression of stages/phases.
Even when they accused him of claiming to be God and Jesus covers, there can be gods, he still doesn't claim to be, as he says you say I blaspheme because I said I am the son of God. (haha, people say he is saying he is the I AM here, goodness me).
So I doubt Thomas would of known him as a god or any of the others at that point?
Jesus doesn't mention it.
my Father and your Father and to my God and your God. = That in itself should scream out at people.
The Trinity God The One is 3 parts, so WHAT is Jesus supposed to be referring to here if he is 1/3= "a" 2/3 of a God and not one whole God?Or referring to himself as well?
No wonder it's a Mystery!
