John 17:21 - That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
So if we read it as you suggest, ALL become God by implication or directly now going by your latest statement = This support/claim, I'm sorry falls flat on it's face, Big time.

Wotsup, the idea that all of Jesus'disciples become "one in us" suggests they ALL enter into God and Jesus, if the Father is in
Jesus and Jesus in the Father. I'm sorry falls flat on it's face, Big time. Because of idioms of the Greek language literal word for word translation sometimes makes no sense.
Jesus prayed to his Father in heaven ... not inside himself.
(John 17:21) so that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in union with me and I am in union with you, that they also may be in union with us, so that the world may believe that you sent me.
It makes perfect sense when understood this way.
