I think the main thing we need to understand is - as your last line, which is what I thought I was showing.
But by all means, feel free to pull me into line at all times.
Names in the Bible generally represent the role that that person will play or do.
Hence Jesus has a name "The Word OF God".
You see Mr G, we need to apply the same here as well, like the above.
This verse is NOT saying Jesus is the word of God - Name only - It is just showing, the role he did and was sent for, FINISH the Father Works, bring the words of eternal life as never before into the world.
Heb 1:1-2 - God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days (NOT BEFORE) spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by (???) whom also he made the worlds; (??? = "By" = on account of, by reason of, for the sake of, because of, through).
So I would suggest you need to give this matter some serious thought and not just fob it off which to me is screamingly obvious.
I am going to send NBD a post, which touches on this area, have a peek when I do and tell me why it can't be so from the Bible.
He received the Spirit without measure for this purpose and God's word is Spirit, so therefore Jesus received The Word = sum total of the word of God. ALL that Gods is, inner/outer.
For as a mans Spirit thinketh etc = Spirit has thought, plans, within them and breath to word.
The same, this, it = God's inner plan was in the beginning with God. And then at 1:3 the results of this being expressed out into action Isa 55.
In this God (word/Spirit) is life which is and was the light of men before Jesus came "a" light of the Father, The Father of Lights.
