I divert from what I said I would avoid - I'll respond to your post on doctrine/theology.
I do this with just one objective, and that is to demonstrate that there is an alternative way using just scripture to come to a different conclusion to the one that you reached.
I do not intent to change your mind. I do not expect you to agree on any points either as they may contradict your beliefs.

The Thomas issue.
10. Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
Jesus in the Father and the Father in Jesus - essentially Jesus and the Father are one. This is covered in John 10:30-38 in which Jesus claims that he and the father are one and explains that this means that the "Father is in me, and I in the Father". They are one, yet two separate entities. The Father is God and by implication so is Jesus (they are in each other). This sounds very much like what Trinity advocates believe.
Of course that raised the question: Why then did Jesus rely so much on his Father. Well there is a ready made solution to this.
Philippians 2:6-7 New International Version (NIV)
6 Who, being in very nature[a] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
So during his earthly ministry, Jesus, although being God (in very nature God) took on the nature of a servant.

Of course there are several other passages in scripture that support this. For example, what enabled those who wanted Jesus crucified to persuade interested parties to go along with the idea? For the Jewish religious leaders this entailed being shown that Jesus blasphemed - Jesus did this by using the same term that God did at the burning bush incident.
