Myth of Jesus, page-451

The point that I was really making is that the Trinity is as big a mystery as much of biblical doctrine. Perception is paramount. I am a member of one family made up of individuals each being equally important. Four in one, I guess. I guess that the doctrine of the Trinity uses a similar principle - each an individual but also divine in some sort of unity analogous to a family.

Of course wotsup has valid points about the Trinity, but so do those who support the Trinity. The Internet is full of material that is loaded with material that supports both sets of beliefs. The nature of scripture allows this. The problem is that neither camp is prepared to acknowledge that the other camp has any valid points - and then the religious in-fighting began.

I don't really care which side has the strongest arguments - for me it's comparing fairy tales to see which camp has the most believable one. Generally fairy tales are hardly believable so why bother trying to work out which one is the most believable.

Yes, people are interesting, particularly when they attempt to defend indefensible ideas using myths and legions as evidence.

PS the comment on the threesome was supposed to be a joke - not as obvious as I had hoped
