Greetings,
Thanks for your reply, effort etc as it also helps in understanding how and why people see things.
Not sure if your a Catholic or not, but having said that, that's your business.
But,,,,,, for me,,,, hearing a reference or the likes of, they have no problems etc, gives Zero credibility IMO due to the research I did on them re - what they follow etc as against what "their own" Bible says, conflicts, conflicts.
From my research some time back on the Matt 28:19, it would appear the baptism part of this verse should not even be there and should be more along the lines of, "go and teach all nations in my name. Luke 24:47 and Acts 1:8 are pretty much parallel verses to this one and not to mention, all the other references I gave you.
As for them being two things, sorry I personally can't go along with that one and what the Catholics do in this regard, to me,,,, is bordering on, if not a ritual, man made and if this is a verse they rely on for it or part of it, then that is questionable as I have covered.
Not to mention, the verse you re-quoted here, be baptized and you will receive the Holy Spirit and there are many more of them, so confirmation and someone laying on of hands, yea,,,,, over my dead body will they haha.
Regardless of this verse, it still does zero to support 3 in 1 if it is left as is.
The latest Pope has been known to effectively say, if anyone thinks they can come to God outside the Church, there in dream land (well something very close to that).
Not to mention, He said,,, if anyone thinks God can effectively wave a magic wand and things happen, they are in fairy land. (well similar). So what he thinks of what Jesus did, makes one wonder?

Your Youtube - I am aware of what he is saying, however the subject has way more branches (areas) than he mentions and in fact, is a big area and as much as people are probably fed up hearing it, it is Linked, ties into the The Word which I say is God.
So I will just leave you with a few points to possibly ponder.
Youtube ref, but a couple of verses prior but with more of the originals - John 3:3 ......Except a man be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
- John 3:5 .............Except a man be born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Note the following;
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth forever.
Luke 8:11 ..............The seed is the word of God. Which Jesus brought into the world around his Baptism time and then he received and not before; John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself (John 1:4) so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself (This life is in Almighty God's word).
At first glance between these verses (born from above) it could appear as though there is a contradiction or is there?
Jesus in John around 4 times makes it Very clear, He is speaking the Fathers words and in fact in John 14:10, he says it is the Father in him that doeth the works and that is in referrnce to the Fathers word as well.
Jesus also says, "these" words are Spirit.
So being born of Spirit is the same as being born of the word of God as "they" are effectively one in the same.
Not to mention also, God's word is also referred to as water - Women at the well where Jesus is speaking the words he was given from the Father.
Notice above also - It makes reference two "seeing" the kingdom of God and "entering" the kingdom of God?
Acts 2:33 Therefore being at the right hand of God, exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which you now "see" and hear (Comforter).
I would suggest the kingdom of God is the Word/Spirit, you come within it, you hear it (one should), it has a Door = Jesus, it has boundaries, etc and the kingdom has come but not yet on earth as in heaven.
So you, take it on board and enter it - The Word of God = The Keys you might say - Matt 16:19 (Jesus) I will give thee the "keys" of the kingdom of heaven and we know what Jesus gave them, besides his life, The Word of God, hence he was exalted/glorified and given that name in Rev 19 and;
Philippians 2:9-11: "Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
Bestowed after exalted.
Named after his Father The Word., how appropriate. (Don't forget Jesus is "OF" so you can't be the thing you are of).
Soz, got a bit carried away here and drifted a wee bit ha.
May the truth prevail for us both.
