I think some punters here are seeing EV/ hydrogen cars as competition from the point of a CLA investor.
The relationship will be more synergistic than competitive.
A hydrogen fuel cell alone wont work. It can't match the variable output currents required by a vehicle under different states of load.
What that means is that even car using hydrogen fuel cells will have a significant battery storage on board as well. Think of the analogy of a drip filling a water tank and then over time you can blast the water tank open at the bottom when pulling away from lights.
So however the final solution pans out there will be huge increase in battery demand and a strong need for CLA cobolt both in battery and possibly even in the H fuel cell technology as platinum is a prohibitively expensive catalyst
