I took my Phase 1 completion date from the NIH Clinical Trial register (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT02923375). Possibly Japan may take some different route.
It is something of a sweeping statement that GVHD won't be a money maker - there is a wider picture here around the whole inflammation area.
A 'different method' of MSC production doesn't mean that they won't infringe patents. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
