Of course I hope modify MPO's strategy. MPO doesn't have a strategy right now other than unwind assets. I doubt my posts here have any relevance at all.
I don't really understand the response of this board to my proposal so I'm going to stop posting here.
I came here looking for MPO shareholders interested in getting some return out of this company, but it seems most people here are more interested in having MPO return to Australia, like this buddy134 guy who constantly distorts what I stated.
Australian unconventional is extremely expensive to enter and test. 50M or whatever cash is left will not go far at all. It is little more than exploration pot shots by a management team that doesn't have expertise in any Australian basin.
Merging with a company like LNC also does not make any sense. They have no reason to offer us a discount; they are not particularly undervalued. The merger provides no synergy that unlocks any hidden value.
The goal of a merger is to make a HIGHER return for us, not a lower one than returning the cash to shareholders. I have proposed such a merger based on my 12+ years of investing almost exclusively in junior energy around the world.
It appears, however, many people here are more interested in attacking me for my proposal, or impugning my motives, rather than offering anything concrete that makes sense, or discussing whether the scenario I laid out is plausible.
So I wish you well with your investments, and I will continue to try to rally shareholder support for what I see as getting us a return north of 0.40 a share instead of the less than 0.20 where we trade now.
