Don't get me wrong. I don't want to suppress anything that is good humour or banter; and I especially believe we all like more than just the numerical tip.
I'm in a difficult place. Everyone will not be happy. I can say something or say nothing. There are no thumbs down to help me. I am trying to leave the risqué stuff but think in this day and climate, respect for women is really under the pump. I’m trying to be as objective as I possibly can and if any of you knew me I am definitely not a wowser or killjoy.
The most important thing for me doing this job is keeping the crew. I respect you all and do not want to lose any players. I think the whole issue arose because Lok wanted a more diverse field in this Open Handicap and not a restricted field of Group One runners.
Finally there is the question of Freedom of Choice. The only thing I can say is there is a time and a place for everything; whether this is the time and the place has to be a collective thing. I can only take on board what you folks say and try to implement it.
