I believe that the sale of standard modems and routers for the consumer market has been acknowledged by NTC as a stagnant market for a number of years now.
Hence the focus over the last five or so years on M2M and supplying custom hardware for large scale broadband rollouts (NBN and AT&T). This is where the profit growth will come from.
Having said that my last ISP was TPG and from memory I got a Netcomm router from them but iPrimus has provided me a Huawei router.

Whoops, this is CIO. Was just reading NTC thread and given this topic forgot I had moved on to CIO.
Answer for CIO - They do not sell modems to consumers so maybe there is a future for the company?
