In one of my recent posts, I had mentioned $3.11. There were 2 candles dating back to November 2011 where the high of one candle and the low of the following candle was $3.11. I mentioned this was not a gap but TLS had this need to "bridge" these features, that is to overlap the price.
Today, by going down to $3.10, TLS successfully took care of this bridging.
There are no more bridging jobs or gaps left in the past history of TLS other than that 1c gap at $2.79 left from August 9-10 2011. This either gets filled (very likely) or it never ever does. On TLS, all gaps will be filled 100%.
I looked through some of my old records and found the market cap of TLS as listed in 2010. So, to answer your question on the market cap of TLS back in 2010 notned, it was 36.458 billion as shown in the lower print dated 3 March 2010. Note the PE ratio of 8.96 based on an EPS of 32.9c at the time.
Note in the profile section a mention that the government had reduced its holding in TLS from 51.8% to 17.0% prior to 2010. There was a 6 month ban on the Future Fund selling more TLS shares on market. But this ban was lifted on 23 February 2010 and was the cause of TLS dipping under $3.00 at the time (as stated in the article below). From February 2010 to November 2010, the Future Fund continued to offload the bulk of its TLS shares onto the open market, putting immense pressure on the share price until finally causing $2.55 (together with trading ex dividend). By March of 2011, the Future Fund said its TLS holding had been reduced to under 5%. Finally in August of 2011, the Future Fund announced it had completed its selling and had reached its target holding of only 0.8% TLS from the 51.8% holding of the company. What a complete mess. And the mess continues with governments continuing to dick with this company.
There is no question that sustained selling throughout 2010 by the Future Fund was what caused TLS to fall under $3.00 during that time. We don't have that problem now.
We need Penn to go and a complete replacement of the board with younger, creative blood.
