Holding price down makes no sense. They buy at a fixed price AU$0,75, they sell at market. Would they not want price to be as high as possible to max profit?
Not sure this is a good sign but it is one I noticed awhile back. Short Activity and %short seems to increase right before there is an exchange. I suspect this is the bank preselling the shares to test market and limit its exposure when they get the shares. Also look at activity by bank when it repors it is no longer a 5% holder, did not report last time never went over 5%. There is lots of short clearing reported in this report. Short activity has not increased so I doubt there will be activity. Things change so no guarantees.
Just in case there is somone new a good place to watch short activity is
