American Patriot continues acreage expansion in Montana
AOW now controls a significant acreage position in the Rocky Mountain Basins with 92,814 Gross Acres (35,035 net mineral acres to AOW) under lease across 5 key projects, an increase of over 64% since listing in July
In early August JV partner Treasure Exploration applied for three drilling permits on the Northern Star project with the Montana Board of Oil and Gas and will select one location for the first horizontal well. The proposed horizontal well is designed to test the Ratcliffe formation and is one of two planned horizontal appraisal wells for AOW on the Northern Star project. AOW expects the permit approval process to take up to 60 days with drilling to begin shortly thereafter. The second horizontal well is expected to be drilled in early 2015. AOW is free carried on the well with no cost caps by Treasure Exploration who is operator and part of a successful US based private Oil and Gas company.
