Primarily but not only because China stopped importing 600,000 tonnes of waste a year from Australia, the whole recycling process by local councils is under threat.
I take it from this that we basically don't do any recycling here ourselves but outsource it to the more industrious Chinese. Typical.
So we will carefully or casually sort our rubbish at the household level so that it can be brought back together in the one big hole in the ground.
I nominate the Pilbara. Anyone second that?
