Seems Bennett is coming to his end days as a Coach.
Make no mistake he is up there in the top two-three rungs of successful Coaches overall and probably No1 in his time. imo
Problem is now one or two bad years will overshadow most of his success, prior.
Age catches up with everyone and Bennett is no exception. His use by date has come.
This little interaction with Brown and the Broncos form atm is a sure fire sign that he is under pressure. imo
Once he loses respect from his players then its good night because they wont give 100% in all games.
The Broncos have a problem atm finding a replacement Coach and respectively giving Bennett the avenue to retire this year without any rot setting into the Club/Players.
When they interviewed Thaiday after the game last night he used the tired old cliche of the Players just wanting to go out there and enjoy themselves (words to that effect)... Thats a sign that they're clutching at straws considering they are playing at the highest Level in the Game (NRL). That analogy is better suited to Junior league!
