@maxd dont take this as a insulting post, this is my opinion on your post, and I feel is good advice.
Absolutely deluded if you think transactions can be reversed. Traders retail or not have to live with their decisions. ASIC cannot really prove that someone knew something with the trading pre ann last week with this, high volume transactions before a ann, yeh can be interpreted as "someone new something" but smart money also knew that a Ann was coming very very soon.
Even overtly dubious trading on very sketchy companies, it is ridiculously difficult to prove beyond coincidental evidence.

@maxd, however I think you need to reevaluate your thinking on what ASIC actually does, and what their powers are in regard to undoing trades.
Not sure how long you have been trading, but don't go down the path of getting pissed off or annoyed by other peoples profits or buying patterns, It will never lead anywhere positive.
As far as the level playing field? It will never be perfectly level, thats life, However you hope the more you trade, and the more you experience, the better you will get at predicting the market.
If you are waiting for the field to be level, I would suggest not trading as that will never happen.
Like you said, you new upgrade was coming, but you appear to have still sold. So cant see how other traders activity would of affected your trading plans.
