I think your comment about 20 years knocks it on the head. Mankind ,or humankind if you are a snowflake, can achieve great things when they put their mind to it. However even if unlimited resources were directed at this problem set it would be a very long time before an alternate capability is up and running. By then it will be potentially decades and I will have long made my money in LYC. This nut is nearly as tough a nut to crack as getting to the moon and NASA with unlimited resources took a decade from the order to go.
