In the May 17th 2016 ASX announcement, it was actually stated that the US$ 1.4m payment (in IQE shares) was received in March 2016, i.e. within six months of transferring the cREO license.
Likewise, in the original ASX announcement from Sep 15th 2015, it was stated that a payment of US$5 million would be due within six months of the exercise of the assignment option (i.e. by Sep 2018, if the option is exercised this month).
Confirmation of whether or not the payment has become unconditional (which is the price-sensitive announcement we're waiting for) is still due by Mar 15th, though, as I understand it.
