No, they are our first hope, but by no means our only one!
I would much rather SILEX walked away though, from any overly risky deal with the US, sending us broke would have almost certainly been part of a plan thought up by them IMHO,that way they get to pick up the pieces for nothing basically and then they can use the tech where and when they like, without the limitations of the restrictions that Australia has placed on it's use? they have drawn this out for a very long time now, crunch time is coming, they have given us some very tempting possibilities (carrots), but I believe if the risks look high, then they almost certainly are? and are designed that way!
I also believe that some of the delays were to let Silex perfect the Uranium enrichment, but also other Isotope separation techniques as well, why wouldn't the US let them perfect their technology first before setting a trap?
I think by now, we all know that he technology works, and as someone else said, so do those companies that were invited to Wilmington.
Please MG, if the risks look too big and our whole company is at risk, then walk away, there will be others interested, you watch just how quick the US jumps then, because I believe they need this tech more than any other country, if they want to be able to control their own nuclear fuel supplies? then they HAVE to have our tech, pure and simple, they don't have a plan B.
In some ways I would rather the US offer us money to buy the tech outright, if that was the case then the risk would not be there I believe, but it would have to be for a very big sum, or maybe a smaller sum but we get to keep the royalties on the Uranium enrichment?
