What you say may be true of some groups but it's not the case for highly skilled people and processionals who are finding that they can do as well if not better in many Asian locations. The graph in the linked Guardian article shows something of a dipping in the skilled and professional group.
I am happy to see a rise in Indian migration. Most Indians come over to me as extremely hard working and innovative. Their focus on education is second to none. They also seek to fit in and share a sense of humour.
If net skilled immigration declines the real estate bubble will certainly pop.
