I'm trying to recollect yesterday's conversation & add-on missing info. I wrote this morning's piece (well, it's 1am WA time) while half asleep after arriving from Melb late at night. Here's another:
1) There's value in every data. This is pretty much what's fueling the Imugene rocket, the more data that validates HER-Vaxx, the higher the SP, and the opposite. The next combo trial involving HER-Vaxx + Herceptin will be worth paying attention because if the results are good, it increases the likelihood of Genentech playing nice.
2) Herceptin is not as effective in gastric cancer compared to when used against breast cancer. But when it's combined with HER-Vaxx we have significant (I can't remember the exact word she said, but it's to that effect) results. I forgot to ask what was the basis of this, obviously not Ph1b as we are yet to start this combo trial, so maybe theoretical / trial in mice.
3) She's not that concerned about HER-Vaxx safety/toxicity/side effects compared to the recently announced anti PD1-Mimotope vaccine. This is because PD1 is a much newer development compared to HER-Vaxx.
4) Someone was comparing between CSL's Gardasil & HER-Vaxx vaccines, and the possibility of HER-Vaxx being used worldwide as preventative measure much like Gardasil. This means administering to healthy adults although they may not have breast/gastric cancer. I did not hear the rest of the conversation but if it happens, the financial reward of holding this stock will be mind blowing. Anyway, this is a very long shot so take it with a grain of salt.
