Sillazze and Hottod make several strong points (as usual I might add).

My thinking, as guided by the NEU announcements up until now, has favoured a ‘deal’ just ahead of a ‘buy-out’. I have never factored in a CR before a ‘go alone’. NEU has been very clear around the speed they wish to see this go to market for the Rhett’s kids and their families. Going alone does not fit into this plan !!!

The longer this takes, and it certainly can take some time, is that the ‘buy-out’ is now a greater chance.

The BoD has been clear regarding their plans and there seems to be 3 possibilities.

1. A deal with ‘Big Phama’ (most likely).
2. A take over (that’s a job lot) – possible.
3. Going alone into Ph3 (not really likely – we will be much slower to market).

Then on the 5/12/17 (after the board announced the new US patent on NNZ 2591) …

Well, this is interesting I think.
Dr T says it gives “robust commercial exclusivity”. This is exactly what the ‘big players’ want.
Now I’m wondering if the possibility of a buyout has just increased??
This may just have got a lot more interesting.

The company is looking for a deal solely around Rhett’s. After all, that’s what this Ph 3 is all about BUT … This company has so much more …

• Fragile X results looking good
• TBI (a huge, huge area) and still with great potential
• solutions in other areas across the Autism Spectrum (AS)
• 
  The AS area is one in which I often work (research and development) and one that has huge un-met need. This could actually be bigger that the rest put together.
  
  If we look at the whole NEU picture, we see massive potential, well beyond Rhett’s (even as important as this is). Big Pharma also see this. They are in the business of maximizing profits.
  
  So, what I see is NEU pushing for a good deal, but just around Rhett’s, while the big players are pushing for a deal or possible buy out, that captures all of the NEU’s magic kit bag.

So now I am considering a ‘buy-out’ a real possibility, sooner or later. OR, as Hottod suggests, after “the toxicity study has been successfully completed” possibly late April or early May.

Who knows? Just my thoughts. I think the chance of a buy-out is now more real.
