I think so Pinto, sounds to me like some cadet journalist has decided to rehash age-old knowledge into something new.
That's not to deny that some further knowledge and uses cannot be discovered in interstitial fluids and spaces. after all the "Designer" probably has a purpose for all of the apparently useless parts we have.
Could be wrong though.
The article seems like an attempt to further reductive science.
