We have already had a record low temp this year in my town in SE Qld. Coldest day ever in February, and recording started in 1885. And that was set in the first few days of February.

Can add to that a record rainfall month for October last year (actually emptied twice what the official gauge recorded out of the neighbors rain gauge= 800mm+ ).

So record cold and record wet. Not quite the record heat and dry that alarmists are preaching.

P.S. An October day two years ago would have smashed the record low temp for an October day by over 5 degrees, it was around 14 degrees through the day, excepting the night temps had remained warm due to cloud cover so the 9:30 am temp was still 19 degrees before the cool change came through mid-morning.

P.p.s. Three years ago we had a record cold winter's night of just 2 degrees.

So on my reno completed for last winter I installed a woodheater. Living on the coast 25 degrees south of the equator. And it is only going to get colder!
