First go in Melbourne under race conditions, Godolphin horses don't have the record in Melbourne of late that they do in Sydney. He drew wide so with his racing pattern, only option, again in my opinion, was to drop out and have one crack at them late - unfortunately was not good enough. The winner ran second to Tulip two starts back - I think Tulip would have made a mess of these.
$2.60 into about even money is certainly a good crack - maybe they all got it wrong and it is easy to review thus with the result in front of us but I find it hard to bag the jockey. It is a horse that I will be following and the ride will certainly not stop me backing anything that I like with D Lane aboard.
For the record I didn't find the winner either in virtual bet here or in cash.
Good punting tomorrow - for my two bobs worth am maintaining faith in Oohood ew in the slipper and with very very minor ownership connection to Gollan stable will have to have something small each way on Ef Troop.
No offense meant and I have had a crack at jockeys in the past as well

Hi Jeff, In truth I was delighted with the ride. I wanted to back the horse but stayed off when it firmed. I thought it was fair enough to go back...but with no speed he had to creep into it mid race. Instead he stayed last then speared 10 wide on the corner, giving it absolutely zero chance. I think this is a pretty handy horse....and good luck tomorrow.
